The 4th Songshan Remote Sensing Forum and the 2026 National Doctoral Academic Forum (Surveying and Remote Sensing) were held from April 24 to 26, 2026, at the Yellow River Welcome Hotel in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. The forum was jointly organized by the Information Engineering University of the Cyberspace Forces, Wuhan University, and the China Centre for Resources Satellite Data and Application. Under the theme “All‑Domain Remote Sensing, Intelligence Leading the Future,” it was guided by the Surveying and Remote Sensing Discipline Evaluation Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, the Chinese Society for Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Cartography, and other institutions. The forum featured a rich program including keynote speeches by academicians, thematic academic sessions, doctoral forums, a remote sensing science popularization lecture contest, and a spatial intelligence challenge. Many academicians and experts, such as Li Deren and Yang Yuanxi, delivered invited presentations, delving into new concepts and theories in remote sensing, intelligent detection and processing, and industry applications. With over 1,300 participants, it set a record for the highest attendance in the history of these forums. During the event, 24 outstanding papers were selected from more than 300 submissions.
